PT Web Designer
The Web Designer will be in charge of the day to day and week to week content posted to Citypaper.net via the blogs and articles. The WD will also be responsible for improving the display of the data driven portion of the website, such as the restaurant search, movies, I Love You, I Hate You, and any other section of the site deemed or seen to require improvements.
A big responsibility for this position will be the posting of the weekly content from the paper to the website. This position will also be responsible for designing mini-sites and oneon one off layouts for contests and promotions. In addition, the Web Designer will also be involved in managing the three times a week newsletter system, as well as having a hand in running the banner ad server.
The ideal candidate must be hard working, dead line oriented and be a self-starter. In addition, this person must have strong HTML skills and CSS (hand coded). He/She must be well versed in page layout and user interface conventions and maintain best practices.
Macintosh user preferred with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready. Knowledge of XML and other web technologies is a plus.
